Something dreadful happened.
At first, when we started Moore Sonsino, we simply wanted to share what we’d been learning about leadership with others.
That was 20 years ago now.
Over the next few years, people took some of our tips and changed their leadership lives. They were able finally to develop and stick to some new leadership habits, simplify their style, even find a better work-life balance. As they changed their lives, so it changed us.
But then a friend and business colleague died suddenly. You can read about that here.
Well now we don’t just want to share leadership strategies. We want to help CEOs and entrepreneurs to build a legacy that matters. We want to serve our readers in a way that we couldn’t help our friend.
Over the last five years, we’ve had to dig into messy problems and opportunities, and meet people in the middle of their challenges. We’ve made mistakes along the way and we’ve learned a huge amount.
We’ve been homing in on what we can do to help people build their legacy. And we’ve been honing our life’s mission.
We think we have it now: our mission is to help CEOs and entrepreneurs to build a high-impact, long-lasting legacy. To help them find meaning in the work. And be transformed by it.
Put it another way: our mission is to help you change the world in a meaningful way by leaving a legacy that matters.
How does that sound?
Because we’ve been working on how to state the mission in a succinct way. (And we’re still working on it.)
But we’re going to own our mission statement as it is right now: Help CEOs and entrepreneurs change the world in a meaningful way, by helping them leave a legacy that matters.
Help CEOs and entrepreneurs – because they’re the ones who often don’t ask for help.
Change the world – because we’re talking about massive, long-term impact.
Leave a legacy that matters – because we’re only here for a short time, but our legacy can have long-lasting impact on the thorniest problems facing humanity… if we get it right.
So that’s our mission.
We’re sharing it with you now because over the next couple of years, you’ll see us write more about this. But we’ll also offer books, courses, webinars, workshops and retreats to try to accomplish this mission.
The first of these is the 7 Pillars of Legacy webinar (which opens again in 2018).
It’s why we offer the Legacy Masterclass for Family Offices.
And it’s why we continue to offer new Legacy Blueprint sessions free of charge for CEOs and entrepreneurs. We’re not doing these to make lots of money, but to fulfill our life’s mission.
Today we want to share our mission with you all, because we loved a man who changed our life in a profound way. He achieved an incredible amount in his short life, but sadly we couldn’t help him to build the legacy he was capable of.
If you’ve read this far, we’re grateful for your attention. We want you to know that we’re committed to serving you – if you have the energy and the will to leave a legacy that matters.
Partner with us on the journey.
It’ll be fun.
